Jim reported seeing a female Surf Scoter on Monday, and earlier that morning - I missed it. Together we saw a female Goldeneye, three Northern Shovelers, a Ring-necked Duck, eleven Gadwall, nine Common Merganser, a Hooded Merganser, five Lesser Scaup, and lots of Mallards, Bufflehead and Ruddy Ducks. The American Tree Sparrows can be found on the wetland trail. Song and Swamp Sparrows are also present. Last week Jim listed a Virginia Rail, and COMMON YELLOWTHROAT. Jim monitors at the Fort all day each Wednesday, and this Wednesday is BBC's First Wednesday Birdwalk. The original message has been forwarded to Jim - I'll post his response, and his weekly schedule.
