Since I only had a few birds seen across the Choptank, my Talbot list grew by leaps and bounds. The best bird was a flock of 150 Common Merganser on the Choptank. They were seen from Gainey's Wharf in Caroline Co., but were along the Talbot bank. Our route took us from Dover Bridge to the Rt 50 bridge into Cambridge. We had 5 eagles in that span. Most other birds were common species. At the Choptank Fishing Pier we had 4 Lesser Scaup, a Buffie and more numerous Goldeneye. We ended the day in the marsh near Shorter's Wharf with 2 Short-Eared Owls and a Dunlin.
