The surrounding Potomac is still ice bound except for some open water on the south end, which held good numbers of Canada Geese and Ring-billed Gulls. Nothing of note with 14 species observed on/around the island: Great Blue Heron Tundra Swan Canada Goose Mallard Ring-billed Gull Rock Dove Downy Woodpecker Red-bellied Woodpecker Carolina Chickadee Carolina Wren European Starling Song Sparrow White-throated Sparrow Northern Cardinal Tom Marko MOS-MCC tlmarko@us.med.navy.mil ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
