Not too many Gulls. Does anyone have any theories on the lack lack of Gulls at Conowingo this year? At any rate 3 Common Goldeneyes (males) were fishing in the rocks below the main island. There where many Buffleheads, Common Mergs and Black Ducks around also. The woods produced a lone Bald Eagle (only one seen), a sharpie, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, and a Pileated Woodpecker. Upon Leaving I encounted both Vulture species and Red-tailed Hawk driving toward Rising Sun. The biggest surprise bird of the day came at my house on Hances Point, North East, Md. I caught a female Pine Warbler feeding on my suet.
