The time was between 5:30 and 5:45 a.m. Co-workers have been asking me for about two weeks now what that bird was singing outside an entrance I don't use. Quizzing them as to what they heard led me to believe that it was a Song Sparrow. But now I know for sure. Isn't it a little early for Song Sparrows to be singing? I know the Titmice have been singing since at least January 1st. But Song Sparrows in January?
