In addition to the white Throats , Juncos ,Song Sparrows Cardinals .Chickadees, titmice, blue Jays and mourning Doves a lone Savannah Sparrow found its way to my feeders and fed on spilled grain under them . Latter in the afternoon after we had dug our way out I took a driving Tour looking for field birds Horned Larks Where quite visable along the road sides Rt 309 near Centreville and other back roads near by. Also seen in the Flocks of larks were American Pipits and lots of Savannah sparrows . It Goes without saying these conditions are good for veiwing the birds but hard on them looking for food and being killed by speeding cars . I saw 2 dead Horned Llarks on the side of the road.
