Comments: To: SMAS MIME-version: 1.0 Content-type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 Content-transfer-encoding: 7BIT Folks Gwen and I checked the Charles County landfill from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM today during a lull in the mixed precipitation and did not relocate the Thayer's Gull that I had there yesterday. I also checked the resting area at the aggregate plant next to the landfill and did not find the gull. An adult Lesser Black-backed Gull adult was present, but the not the one I photographed on January 21. Cold wind and mixed precipitation made it hard to bird. There were about 5000 gulls which were coming and going while we searched. I won't get back until next weekend. If I relocate the bird I will report it.
