Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed I took advantage of the extra day off to walk from the Courthouse area of Arlington down to Roosevelt Island and back. Not a lot of birds overall, but a lot of variety... First, I saw what I believe to be an immature Peregine Falcon in the trees along the GW Parkway near the Roosevelt Island Parking Lot. Has anyone else seen a Peregrine in the area recently? Awfully large to be a Merlin or Kestrel... Second, the list for the day: Black-crowned Night Heron Belted Kingfisher Canada Geese Black Vultures (circling over Rosslyn) Goldfinch Hairy Woodpecker Downy Woodpecker Red-bellied Woodpecker Carolina Chickadee Song Sparrow White-throated Sparrow Cardinal Blue Jay Junco House Sparrow Starling Euro. Rock Doves Ring-billed Gull -- Scott _________________________________________________________________ Add photos to your messages with MSN 8.
