I know folks track Peregrine nesting activity (like VAFALCONS), but has anyone attempted to coordinate canoe/kayak volunteers around these bridge nests during prime fledging times... it must be only a couple of days, and certainly for the railroad trestle nest on the Potomac, there are tons of recreational paddlers all around there... From my own experience canoeing on the Potomac, I know you can pull a thrashing bird out of the water pretty quickly (in my case, just a pigeon!). Any thoughts out there? -- Scott Michaud Arlington, VA _________________________________________________________________ STOP MORE SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
