They do their best to get to the suet feeder, pick at the peanut split feeder and, mostly, work over what has fallen to the ground. They exhibit some shyness but not as much as has been expressed by others. The most interesting behavior is that one of them is always bringing scraps of food from other sources to the bird bath, dropping the food in the water and then eating it. Works pretty good for bread and the like but I have found pieces of meat and other solid food left in the water. The bread makes a mess of the bath.
