Some snow has melted since the weekend so not all the birds were feeding on the road sides, but there was still some nice stuff. At Kent Narrows there were good numbers of waterfowl, highlights being around 100 Greater Scaup and two drake Red-breasted Mergansers. A Yellow-bellied Sapsucker and Red-bellied Woodpecker along John Brown Road were new for the county for me. On route 304 there was one American Tree Sparrow, and at least 6 along Howard William Road. Route 213 ponds north of 309 had lots of Ring-neck Ducks, an Am. Wigeon, half a dozen Gadwall, and a drake Redhead. The LAPLAND LONGSPUR for the day was in a lark flock just north of Millington on Rt. 313. West of Millington on Chester to Millington road there were 8 White-crowned Sparrow along the road. In the end I picked up 20 county birds in Queen Annes and 3 in Kent.
