McDonald" Subject: backyard bird feeding MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit A new behavior for our yard: a pair of juncos clinging to the retaining wall and feeding at the moss growing there. Also unusual for our yard: a flock of 20-30 crows periodically showing up to eat the seed mix on the ground that they have never paid attention to before, and flocks of 40-70 grackles doing the same. Kind of a time-share arrangement with our normal yard-birds. This past week, however, chickadees have been very scarce, although I did hear one sing this morning. I'd Rather Be Atlasing.
