The bird was still present today below the dam at about 1 p.m. There were also a few Ring-necks around. Centennial is largely frozen, with only one hole remaining on the north side of the island by the Concession Stand. At 10:30 today it held 9 Ruddies, 2 Hooded Mergansers, and a Black Duck flew by. Fort McHenry as of about 9:10 today had about 2 dozen Bufflehead, 8 or more grazing Am. Widgeon, 4 fly-by Double-crested Cormorants, a lone Horned Grebe, 2 Coots, and 2 Killdeer. No exotic gulls present. That wave of Red-necked Grebes doesn't appear to have hit Howard County or Baltimore City!
