She didn't see the strike but the killer had dragged the victim under a bush on the edge of our patio, so it was only a few yards away. We still have the pink snow and pile of feathers as evidence. I wonder if anyone has seen anything like this before. We don't know if the Red-shouldered caught its victim in mid-air or pounced while it was on the ground or perched. I looked at the remains this morning but there is absolutely nothing left except the feathers and the blood stains.
