I am happy to report that I was indeed able to locate at least 3 of them and possibly a fourth. The birds where several hundred yards off the Cecil County side (much closer to the Havre de Grace side). I left these grebes and decided to drive along the shore line at the Perry Point VA Center and was able to locate another Red-necked Grebe in front of the waste water pump house (Buiding 311). This bird was only about 50 yards off shore and provided great long looks as it fished up and down the shore line. This brought the R-n Grebe count to 4 possible 5. I was unable to relocate the C. Loon that was seen this morning in the rain. However, as the rain has lifted, I was able to add 350 Tundra Swan to my waterfowl count for today. Other birds of note this afternoon include a Pileated Woodpecker that was drilling away in a beech tree over Mill Creek. Also as I was pulling back into the fire station Parking Lot a Merlin was seen flying in. The Merling perched above the Post Office and was scoped for a nice 5 minute look.
