MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit I was pretty excited about the single Red-necked Grebe we saw at the OC Inlet Saturday. Until I caught up on my email. Seems there are more RN's than Robins! Well, there was also a COMMON EIDER on the jetty. That at least stands as a good bird for the weekend! Among the other nice-but-currently-abundant birds were Red-throated and Common Loons, Horned Grebes, Oystercatchers, and Great Cormorant at OC, flocks of Pintail (200+) at Blackwater, Red-breasted Merg (100+) at Assateague, and N. Shoveler (100+) at Chincoteague (I know - but it's very close to MD), and small groups of Longtailed Ducks and Common Goldeneye at the Cambridge VC.
