Highlights were 2 Bald Eagles (1 adult & 1 immature), a beautiful adult, mostly breeding plumage Lesser Black Backed Gull, an adult Red Shouldered Hawk, 8 Gadwall, 3 Shovelers, 1 male Ring Necked Duck, 3 Hooded Mergansers (2 males), many White Throated Sparrows, singing Song Sparrows, and several Flickers and Downy Woodpeckers. The Bald Eagles were perched in a tree on the right hand side of the pond, then flew over a few times (dispersing the gulls). The adult flew off while the immature remained perched in a tree on the far side. Most of the gulls then returned, with another 200 or so joining them as I left. There should be big numbers of gulls later today...
