There are numerous waterfowl concentrated in the open water there as the rest of the reservoir is mostly frozen. Among the several Redhead is one unusually light-colored one, first noticed and photographed by John Landers, that is interesting to see and compare to the others. An adult Bald Eagle flew by, while a red fox was crossing the ice as well. If you go on the rescheduled Loch Raven trip, led by Debbie Terry, this Sunday, you may be able to see these interesting birds. The trip meets at Stone Hill Road at 8:30 a.m. Elliot Kirschbaum Baltimore, MD USA mailto:ekirschb@bcpl.net ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
