I had to go out this morning to do some errands so filled in with some birding. The intersection of route 309 and 213 had a pair of Red-shoulderd hawks today. The 4th pond on 309 coming from 213 at pembertion farms held about 30 Tundra Swan ,150+ Snow geese No Ross goose though. A Fair number of Pintails. Mallards, Canada Geese At. Kent Narrows Not Much of antthing different than reported a Few days ago .Driving across the old narrows bridge to kent Island to Chester and Behind The Safeway Store is a Road Going South. Marling Farms is at the end do not recall the name. But at about a mile down from the Beging of chester is a small grave yard kinglesy Church no church there though . Next to the Grave Yard in a Road named Goodhand Creek Rd DRive all the way to the end [ NOT FAR ] is a county boat Ramp . The Creek is still Three Quarters froze but the open water held several Greater scaup and a RED -NECKED GREBE. Almost forgot to mention the my first for the year Osprey sitting on its nest a the boat ramp in Queenstown. The post with the channel marker holding the nest is still surrounded by ice . A werid sight an Osprey sitting on a nest in an ice field.
