We concluded the trip around 1:30PM at the Conowingo Dam. The club also visited Perry Point and the non-tidal portion of the Susquehanna River along the way. 7 birders from the Cecil bird Club and 1 from the Kent County Bird Club were able to locate 57 speceis including 20 species of waterfowl. Most Notable were, of course, the RED-NECKED GREBE that have irrupted in the mid-atlantic as of lately. Also notable were the first sightings of TREE SWALLOW in Cecil County for 2003! 6 Tree Swallows were observed feeding over the water at the Holloway Beach area of Chalestown and a lone Tree Swallow was seen flying over the field at the Perryville Town Park. Large Robin flocks were noted in Perryville also. More notablbe due to it's lack of birds was the Conowingo Dam as only ONE gull and NO eagles were seen there!
