Early this morning I saw my 1st = Osprey of the year carrying a fish and flying north on Rt 5 just north = of the Causeway. This was about 9:30 AM. At 4:30 PM while scanning = fields I came across a partially flooded farm field at Camp Brown Rd off = of Rt 5. This field had 15 Pectoral Sandpipers in 1 puddle, about 50 = Killdeer, 1 dozen Snipe, 4 American Pipits, 4 Rusty Blackbirds, and the = usual crowd of migrant Robins. I might add over the last several days I = have also had 2 Lapland Longspurs in almost full alternate plumage and = I'm still seeing good numbers of Horned Larks and some are also in full = alternate plumage. What a sight.
