Birds seen/heard: 1 Chipping Sparrow (at my feeder before we left) 2 Eastern Phoebes singing at each other, possibly competing to see who gets to use the bridge nearby 1 RED-BREASTED NUTHATCH (heard only, but calls were easily identified and distinctly different from those of White-br Nuthatches nearby. Also, the bird was in the same location where a Red-br Nuthatch was hanging around last fall.) There was a Pied-billed Grebe at Lake Elkhorn yesterday -- first Pied-billed I've seen in about 3 months. ---------------------------------------- June Tveekrem Columbia, Howard County, MD tweekiebird@toadmail.com ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
