Subject: DC sightings - 3/14 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit I hit some of the same spots as Mike Bowen today (too bad I didn't run into him). Not much to add except: 1 American Woodcock - inadvertently flushed one while looking at Fox Sparrows at the Arboretum 1 Great Horned Owl - Arboretum 1 Red-breasted Nuthatch - Arboretum 1 Yellow-rumped Warbler - Kenilworth Park 20-25 Fox Sparrows - the largest single flock I've ever seen, feeding with White-throats, Songs & Juncos at the Arb. Otherwise I saw much of same as Mike, except I missed the Meadowlarks. Last week Rob Hilton, John Hubbell & I had a number of Horned Larks and a few Am. Pipits flying over Ft. Lincoln and the Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens. I didn't hear any today.
