Flats MIME-version: 1.0 Content-type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 Content-transfer-encoding: 7BIT The seasonal wetland accessed from Paper Mill Rd., Baltimore County, is at the moment a large lake, and is hosting a nice variety of waterfowl. Seen today (3/15): Mallard-- 24 Am. Black Duck-- 26 Wood Duck-- 6 (first of the season for me) Gadwall-- 7 Am. Widgeon-- 18 N. Pintail-- 21 Ring-Necked Duck-- 151 Redhead-- 1 (male) Hooded Merganser-- 3 American Coot-- 2 Canada Goose-- 300+ All the shorebird habitat is underwater. On the other hand, both puddle and diving ducks seem to like current conditions.
