on 5/15:
At least 6 AMERICAN WOODCOCK heard displaying, and 2 or 3 seen, in
fields just north of intersection of Hughes Road and River Road,
evening of 5/15.

on sunday 5/16:
14 RED-NECKED GREBES very close to shore, in Seneca Creek and the
Potomac River; 3 above the acqueduct in the creek, 11 more within 50
meters of shore.
1 PINE WARBLER singing in my backyard (beside a pine tree!),
Darnestown, Mont Co.
