Sunny = in the morning, overcast, breezy and light rain in the afternoon. Highlights: Red-throated Loon - 1 at Town Point Common Loon - several at the Thomas Johnson Bridge on both sides of the = river, 7 at Point Lookout, none in breeding plumage yet Pied-billed Grebe - 1 at Beauvue Horned Grebe - numerous at Town Point, Point Lookout, and St Mary's City Red-necked Grebe - 1 at Point Lookout (from the boat dock), 2 at the = Thomas Johnson Bridge on the Solomons side of the river (Calvert = Co.) Gannet - 1 adult at Point Lookout flying down the bay Brown Pelican - 3 at Point Lookout flying down the bay Double-crested Cormorant - 2 at Point Lookout and 8 at Leonardtown Mute Swan - a courting pair at Solomons at the bridge, and single pairs = at Point Lookout, Scotland, and Beauvue Baldpate - a flock of 40 flying over Long Neck Creek, others at Beauvue Gadwall - numerous at Beauvue Shoveler - a pair at Beauvue Green-winged Teal - 9 at Beauvue Redhead - 15 at Beauvue Ring-necked Duck - 100 at Beauvue Long-tailed Duck - numerous at Town Point, Point Lookout Surf Scoter - many at Point Lookout White-winged Scoter - 4 at the fishing pier at Point Lookout Black Scoter - about 200 off the fishing pier at Point Lookout Scoter, sp.
