Flight of the Timberdoodle at Kinder Farm Park Friday March 21st 2003 at 6:15pm Join Park Rangers Adam Smith and Sue Payne as they talk about the mysterious American Woodcock, a.k.a. the Timberdoodle. At dusk, this bird performs a fascinating aerial display while making whistles, warbles and buzzes in an effort to attract a mate. After the talk we will go on a short hike to try to see and hear this bird of spring. Meet at the new parking lot across from the Community Gardens for this hour-long program, for ages 8 and up. An adult must accompany children. Bring binoculars if you have them and a flashlight too. Pre-registration is required for this free program.
