I was surprised yesterday afternoon, when I exited my car and saw a Cedar Waxwing on the ground a foot or so away from the east side of the building and within 5 feet of me. My proximity did not seem to bother it. It was eating mostly fallen blue berries from an evergreen. It was there an hour later when I returned to my car.
