Waterthrush in Worcester MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit I was in Worcester County Friday/Saturday atlasing; looking for early migrants. Mid-afternoon today, 3/22 (like I am sure Sam Dyke did earlier in the day), I had two Louisiana Waterthrushes at Mt. Olive Church Road/Nassawango Creek. Second earliest Worcester record according to the data base. I frustratingly thought I heard a Yellow-throated Warbler here as well, but it only sang only once and was not entirely typical. That was my target bird, as the Worcester record arrival is 3/23. Ugh! Next week its the annual gnatcatcher search. Also had a Red-necked Grebe at the Pocomoke City Sewage Ponds on Friday.
