Yesterday, Saturday 3/22, I had a Fox Sparrow spend most of the day on the ground below my feeders. It would work a small area , using its feet to dig small ~2" depressions in the soft ground. I have seen White-throated Sparrows do this many times but this was the first time I observed a Fox Sparrow with this behavior.
