HORNED GREBE - 8 (!!) at Riley's Lock, 2 were in creek itself, including one in near-breeding plumage. BROWN CREEPER - 2 at Seneca upstream from acqueduct OSPREY - 1 perched at west end of turning basin, at Seneca upstream from acqueduct. allowed very close approach and long study. resting from migration??? RUSTY BLACKBIRD - flock of approx 80 birds at Hughes Hollow, on s.w. side of last impoundment on right. FIELD SPARROW - 2 on the dike at Hughes Hollow, the first I have seen this year.
