Pretty much a repeat of last Sunday with lots of duck and little landbird activity. New arrivals were my first Pied-billed Grebe(possibly 2) of the year, an early Great Egret, and 5 male Blue-winged Teal. Other waterfowl were 2 Red-necked Grebes, 11 Canada Geese, 7 Wood Duck, 3 Am. Wigeon, 4 Mallard, female Canvasback, and 167 Ring-necked Ducks (about 25% female). Besides the normal singing signs of breeding activity were a Canada Goose nest, a probable Red-shouldered Hawk nest, and a female grackle carrying nesting material. Three Eastern Phoebes were also of interest. On the way back I stopped briefly at Seneca. At the mouth of Seneca 3 Horned Grebes, 3 Red-necked Grebes and 2 female Red-breasted Mergansers were feeding. One red-neck(grebe that is) was well upstream.
