Usually we'll see them leave the zoo area and fly south towards the Potomac to feed, I presume. However, twice this last week at different times after dark I have seen an individual flying below the bridges and landing in the large conifers. Last time was last night around 7 p.m. There must be some good feeding in that area right now so maybe some other birds will turn up.
