I have begun my seasonal work at a local marina and plan to keep a list for the area. The marina/campground consists of approximately 100+ acres of wooded Travel Tralier lots, a tidal basin of about 5 foot depth with an area of of 8-10 acres, and a 500 foot shore line on the lower North East River on Capenter's Point. I remember last year that this locale produced many interesting birds including warblers, empids, vireos, swallows, and waterfwol. So far this week I have found Bald Eagle, Pied-billed Grebe, & A. Coot. More to come... Also, my yard showed a few encouraging signs of spring today (3/26). Three Ospreys were seen riding thermals and singing before the front moved through, A pair of Wood Ducks were checking out a box that I mounted on Monday, as was a Tree Swallow. That's all for now, Good Birding, Chris Starling North East, MD ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
