A Brown Thrasher was flashing around nearby, and a there was a Winter Wren in the woods a little upstream. A pair of Blue-winged Teal flew along the Canal, a pair of Wigeon were on the first impoundment. Yesterday I checked out the Great Blue Heron rookery a little downstream from MP 19; there were occupants/activity at at least 7 nests.
