Somewhere along the post or walkway the ants use, sprinkle or spread a little ground cinnamon powder - it is evidently offensive to ants, for they will not walk on it or come very close. I have a pole feeder hanger from Wild Bird, and hang my hummer feeder from one of its arms. I keep a bit of soft cloth on top of the cylindrical squirrel baffle, with cinnamon sprinkled on it. The sprinkled bit of cloth surrounds the vertical pole and touches it. marcia nelson Accokeek ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
