Townsend's is not listed on the state list, but that doesn't mean there aren't some unconfirmed sightings. I'm sure we'll here from Ringler and others on this. It would certainly seem to be a long shot. This is a Pacific NW bird whose range barely reaches Yellowstone. Some winter in Texas.
