We birded from Cape Henlopen, DE down to the VA line via the ORV zone on Assateague Island. Notable arrival being ROYAL TERNS in Ocean City, plus 6 or so Red-necked Grebes. On Sunday(3/30) Jim and I birded from southern Somerset County to Elliots Island, Dorchester. In Somerset, we hit Rumbly Point and were greeted by Snowy Egrets, 6 Gannet, 1 Red-necked Grebe. In Crisfield there were more Gannet and another Red-necked Grebe. In Bivalve, Wicomico County, the signs are already up for the 25th ANNUAL GREAT AMERICAN TURTLE RACE in August, yeeeeha, can't wait!!! About 10 Gannet near the Nanticaoke Harbor were note worthy. Royal Terns were working the river in Whitehaven. On Elliots Island, Dorchester County, we had one light morph Rough-legged Hawk.
