He will run weekends only = until Somerset Co schools are closed and then will go on a Wednesday to = Sunday schedule. The boat will be a 65' catamaran which is a very stable = platform for birders as well as passengers. The tentative price will be = in the $30-$35 range. The boat will leave at 10:00 AM EDT and return at = approximately 3:45 PM EDT. This gives you about 2-1/2 hours on the = Island. Best time to view birds on the Island is at low tide when the = mud flats are exposed. All the native species of waders with the = exception of Reddish Egret can be viewed up close and personal. A few = species of wood warbler can also pop up on the trees in the village of = Ewell during spring and fall migration. Shorebird numbers can also be = high during migration, especially during July and August. I will be = working on the boat this summer as the mate and hope to see some of you = on board. I hope this post doesn't sound to much like a commercial but = it is a great opportunity to view many hard to get birds for Maryland = Listers. For more information or group rates call 410-425-2771 or e-mail = me direct and I'll get an answer to any questions you may have.
