I may try for a few more counties on the Eastern Shore this weekend. I went up to Carroll County yesterday on my lunch break and managed to find one still holding out at Piney Run. I have picked them up in 18 counties so far . It breaks down something like this.. Garrett-3 Allegany-3 Washington-2 Frederick-4 Carroll-1 Montgomery-25 Howard-1 Baltimore-8 Harford-6 Cecil-3 Prince Georges-3 Anne Arundel-1 Calvert-1 Saint Mary's-3 Charles-26 Queen Anne's-1 Somerset-2 Worchester-6 Now that totals 99 birds, however that count maybe a little low, Jim B. will say 'I got another one' or i will and the other person doesn't even bother looking. The excitement fades after the first couple you see in a county. I'd sure like to here how others have done. It really has not been hard to find them, minus a transmission, overheated engine and not much sleep over the course of a few weekends. Although I may have to attribute some of the birds to my blaze orange hunting hunting hat, its like a red-neck beacon.
