The Red-necked Grebe continues at Elkhorn. I saw it briefly, about halfway up the lake. Seven Lesser Scaup were present, and mixing it up with eleven Ring-necks. Present by the cove off Cradelrock was an Am. Coot, which has apparently been there for several weeks. It was enjoying a handout from some folks who plainly cannot read the signs. No sign of the female Greater Scaup from the previous week, nor the C. Loon nor H. Grebe. I MAY have heard a Brown Creeper, but I am no positive. I couldn't find the source of the single, high note. My time was limited, so I didn't see anything else of note. All birds seen between 4:45 and 5:15 pm.
