Water views are on Trippe Creek, and = there are also several well-designed wetland ponds on the grounds. = Highlights included: Rusty Blackbird (great scope views of the bird, occasionally even = making its distinctive call) Red-necked Grebe (not being found in great numbers in Talbot County, = but one was here) Golden-crowned Kinglet, Pine Warbler, Yellow-rumped Warblers, = Northern Shovelers, Green-winged Teal, a Bald Eagle, a nesting pair of = Red-tailed Hawks, and Sparrows (Song, Field, Chipping, Swamp, = White-throated, Junco and Towhee). Following the birding, the birders were treated to an awesome brunch = in the elegant HARLEIGH mansion. Skip and Sally Akridge were extremely = gracious hosts. A great time was had by all!
