At Diamond Point at about 9 am, no gulls at all, so a search of Rocky Point and Cox's Point Parks followed, again with only a few Bonies and no Littles. Lots of diving duck and Loons of Rocky Pt., however. A return to the Eastern Ave. bridge found that there were now several hundred Bonaparte's, most loafing on the water, but then they noticed a lovely adult LITTLE GULL soaring right above their heads, along with a few Bonies. Excellent looks, then the bird drifted off in the direction of the sewage plant. The Little Gull was in winter plumage. This is the best time for Little Gulls at Back River according to previous years' notes.
