Tern with dozens of Foster's Terns at Rt. 335 bridge, 6 Ring-necked Duck at first pond on right just inside entrance to Wildlife Drive, 1 Caspian tern at Marsh Edge Trail, 1 Brown Thrasher at Visitor Center, a lot of Green-winged teal, Blue-winged teal, Dunlin, Greater and Lesser yellowleg. 2 Wood Duck at Gum Swamp, 3 gobbler and 18 hen Wild Turkey on Hip Roof Rd and one gobbler at Parsons Creek Neck unit of Blackwater, 1 Brown-headed Nuthatch and 1 Red-headed Woodpecker at Moneystump Swamp, Great Blue Herons spread out at several section of Blackwater NWR, Great Egret in good numbers at Wildlife Drive, 1 Common Snipe at large puddle near Visitor Center and Glossy Ibis at puddle on Maple Dam Rd, north of Key Wallace Dr., a lot of tree swallows everywhere and one Barn Swallow at end of Wildlife Drive. Small flocks of Short-billed Dowitcher near end of Wildlife Drive with 300 Dunlin, least sandpipers, and pectoral sandpiper. More immature than adult Bald Eagles. Tuesday morning at 1:24am along Midsummer Lane in Jarrettsville, Barred Owl was sitting in middle of the road and took off with unknown rodent.
