The work on my house has been consuming a lot of my time. However, today I got a chance to spend an hour or two looking around work. Thirty eight species were found with a few things worth mentioning. A single Common Loon in full alternate plumage was observed fishing amoung at least 50 Double-crested Cormorants. A lone Red- necked Grebe was also observed in the waters that encompass the facility. In the woods I saw and heard a male Pileated Woodpecker while looking for warblers. The only warbler seen was a single Yellow-rumped that was busily foraging the the maple blossums. Tree Swallows were seemingly everywhere. A large flock of mixed blackbirds contained the following species: Red-winged Blackbird, Common Grackle, Brown-headed Cowbird, & Starling. The best bird of the day was also a new bird for my Perry Point and Cecil County list. A pair of Glossy Ibis were seen "grazing" in front of Building 22H with a flock of 50 or so Canada Geese.
