Churchill" Subject: RN Grebes still around Yesterday (Saturday 4/12), Ray Kiddy and I embarked on a 17 hour road trip starting at his house at 5:30 am. We birded (including getting out of the car) in 7 counties and drove through 2 others (Although Allegany County was driven through only in darkness). We found Red-necked Grebes in 6 of 7 of the counties that we stopped in (not including Carroll/Baltimore because by the time we got there it was too dark to see). No Fred-necked Grebes were located.
