This pier is = mostly in Maryland (Charles County) waters. I saw an adult Royal Tern = and at least 2 adult Caspian Terns, all in beautiful summer garb; they = crossed the state line into Virginia but stayed mostly in Maryland. = They came within a hundred feet of me at one point and it was easy to = see the orange bill and longer tail of the Royal. Out in the middle of = the Potomac River were Bonaparte's, Ring-billed, Herring, and Great = Black-backed Gulls, a Common Loon, and many Double-crested Cormorants. = Overhead were several Ospreys. At one point a Great Blue Heron flew = from the shore and landed in the water, seemingly to pirate a = Ring-billed Gull's fish. Back in the parking lot I saw two close = Yellow-throated Warblers as I was getting in my car. =20 Rob Hilton Silver Spring, MD=20 rhilton@csa.com =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D =========================================================================
