You could be right , although as far as I could determine, those were blue-wingeds. I say that because their breasts were solid, bright yellow (without streaking) and they had the black eyelines that exactly matched the pictures of blue-wingeds I saw in my field-guide and on the internet. Every other characteristic I could see matched what the field identification tips specified. Incidentally, their wings, when folded together behind their backs, formed an intricated cross-hatched pattern of solid blacks and whites. I didn't read anything about that in the information I came across, but I did read that blue-wingeds have two white wing bars. I am pretty sure of my identification, but I'll admit to not being a warbler expert. Perhaps others will visit the Croydon Nature Center and will or will not be able to confirm the sighting. I look forward to such feedback.
