Two Red-necked Grebes were in the cove at the Granary Picnic Area. Up from the picnic area in the woods on the left I had 8 Rusty Blackbirds in a mixed blackbird flock. Farther up the dirt road past the waterfowl pond I flushed up a single Vesper Sparrow. On the way back to Rt. 50 in the fields opposite the golf course was a large flock of gulls with Laughing, Ring-billed, Herring, and Bonapartes'. Pine Warblers were singing everywhere. I can not wait to see what this southerly wind is going to blow up -- maybe a Red-legged Honeycreeper.
