On the wetlands today there were ten Greater Yellowlegs and at least = six Lesser Yellowlegs, two Mute Swans, two Mallards and a Killdeer. Many = Tree Swallows, a few Barn Swallows and a Kestrel were also around. In a field just outside the Pickering Creek grounds around 4:00 p.m. = there were three Tom Turkeys wandering aimlessly about on this beautiful = day. Bluebirds at Pickering Creek have nesting activity going in eight = boxes, and a total of 18 eggs (in 4 nests) are present.
